A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN ARCHITECT - ENGINEERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH (HEREINAFTER REFERRED
TO AS THE CITY) AND BORRELLI - FRANKEL -
BLITSTEIN -DeZARRAGA - DONNELL -DUQUESNE,
DAVID VOLKERT & ASSOCIATES, A FLORIDA JOINT
VENTURE (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS ARCHITECT-
ENGINEERS) FOR THE PROJECT KNOWN AS THE MIAMI
BEACH POLICE AND COURT FACILITY, SUCH PROJECT
TO INCLUDE A NEW STRUCTURE, PARKING GARAGE,
SITE IMPROVEMENTS, AND REHABILITATION OF THE
OLD CITY HALL STRUCTURE, AND THE PLANNING AND
DESIGN FOR FUTURE EXPANSION.
WHEREAS , the City has made and entered into an agreement with
Borrelli - Frankel - Blitstein - DeZarraga - Donnell - Duquesne,
David Volkert & Associates, a Florida joint venture (hereinafter
referred to as Architect-Engineers) for Architectural and
Engineering services being provided for the Miami Beach Police and
Court Facility; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to construct a police and court
facility to be located on blocks 23 and 37 , Ocean Beach Addition
No. 3 , subject to certain total construction costs, maximum
Architect-Engineers ' basic services fees, and other terms and
conditions set forth in the agreement between the City and the
Architect-Engineers; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Police and Court Facility project
includes a new structure, parking garage, site improvements ,
rehabilitation of the old City Hall structure, and the planning
and design for future expansion hereinafter designated as the
project; and
WHEREAS, the City has contracted with the Architect-Engineers
enumerated above for architectural and engineering services in
connection with design and construction of the project, and for
the administration of the construction contract during
construction of the project, all as stipulated and within limits
the City has budgeted therefor as provided in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, all the General Partners of the Architect-Engineers
have executed an agreement which accurately sets forth the mutual

covenants, terms and conditions between the parties for the
services the latter shall provide relative to the Miami Beach
Police and Court Facility project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida;
That the City Commission approves of and authorizes the City
to enter into an agreement with the Architect-Engineers: Borrelli
-Frankel - Blitstein - DeZarraga - Donnell - Duquesne -David
Volkert & Associates , for Architectural and Engineering services
in connection with the design and construction of the Miami Beach
Police and Court Facility.
