A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
ASSIGNMENT OF A CONTRACT FOR THE LEASING OF THE
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER FROM MIAMI
INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW, INC. TO NATIONAL
MARINE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
is cognizant that on or about October 21, 1980, the City of Miami
Beach (hereinafter referred to as the "City" ) , entered into a
contract with Miami International Boat Show, Inc. for the renting
of the Miami Beach Convention Center for the presentation of the
Miami International Boat Show upon the dates, periods of
occupancy, terms, covenants and agreements set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is cognizant that the
Lessee, Miami International Boat Show, Inc. , has assigned the
aforementioned contract to National Marine Manufacturers
Association, Inc. , a Delaware corporation authorized to transact
business in the State of Florida, which presents boat shows
throughout the United States; and
WHEREAS, the City has been apprised that the assignee,
National Marine Manufacturers Association, Inc. , has assumed the
duties and obligations of the assignor , Miami International Boat
Show, Inc. , owed to the City of Miami Beach, as more particularly
set forth in the terms of that certain assignment between the
assignor and assignee duly delivered to and in the possession of
the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the City Commission
authorizes and acknowledges the attached Assignment of Contract
dated September 7, , 1983 between the assignor, Miami
International Boat Show, Inc. , and the assignee, National Marine
Manufacturers Association, inc.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September , j983.
