AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING.
CERTAIN DIVISIONS AND OFFICES OF THE CITY
SERVICE AND CLARIFYING THE ADMINISTRATIVE
ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY FOR PURPOSES OF
CARRYING OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL
SERVICE ACT, AND GIVING THE CITY MANAGER
AUTHORITY TO PRESCRIBE FUNCTIONS OF THE
VARIOUS DIVISIONS OF THE CITY SERVICE,
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CITY
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the organizational units of the City Service
as referred to in Paragraph C. of Section 5. of
House Bill No. 687, being Chapter 18696 of the Special Acts of
Florida, 1937, are as follows:

SECTION 3. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 5. of
House Bill No. 687, being Chapter 18696 of the
Special Acts of Florida, 1937, the Administrative Officers re-
ferred to in Section 2. of this Ordinance are in the Unclassi-
fied Service of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
SECTION 4. That the City Manager shall have, within the limi-
tations of the Charter of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and the implications of the Division and/or Office
Titles, wide latitude in prescribing the functions of the various
Organizational Units of the City service and the duties of the
Administrative Officers of said City.
SECTION 5. That Ordinance No. 369 and all other ordinances
and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. That should any part of this Ordinance be declared
invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining portions
shall continue in force and effect as though such invalid or
unconstitutional portion had not been contained herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this the 15th day of March,

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING
CERTAIN DIVISIONS AND OFFICES OF THEE CITY SERVICE AND
CLARIFYING THE ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY
FOR THE PURPOSES OF CARRYING OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THE
CIVIL SERVICE ACT, AND GIVING THE CITY MANAGER AUTHORITY
TO PRESCRIBE FUNCTIONS OF THE VARIOUS DIVISIONS OF THE
CITY SERVICE, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE. CITY
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, " having
been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of
which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 20th day of March, A.D. , 1939, and that said ordinance
remained posted for a period of at least thirty deys in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of
the said City of Miami Beach.
