FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2911-, BE-
ING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, IMPOSING LICENSES AND OTHER
TAXES ON PRIVILEGES, BUSIIv'ESSES, OCCUPATIONS
AND PROFESSIONS CARRIED ON AND ENGAGED IN
WITHIN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRI BING PENALTIES
FOR THE EXERCISING OF SUCH PRIVILEGES OR
CARRYING ON SUCH BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS
OR PROFESSIONS, WITHOUT A LICENSE OR OTHER
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREOF;
FIXING THE AMOUNT TO BE PAID BY !HEATRES OTHER
THAN MOVING PICTURE TFZATRES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That that part of the subdivision of Section 5 of Ordi-
nance No. 394 under sub-title "Amusement and Recreation"
reading as follows:
"THEATRES, other than Moving Picture, etc. . . . $1200.00"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"THEATRES, other than moving picture, etc. ,
having a seating capacity of not over
II-OO persons $ 250.00
"THEATRES, other than moving picture, etc. ,
having a seating capacity of more than
4-OO persons . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $1200.00"
SECTION 2: All ordinances and. parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

VILEGES, BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS AND PROFESSIONS CARRIED ON AND
ENGAGED IN WITHIN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE
EXERCISING OF SUCH PRIVILEGES OR CARRYING ON SUCH BUSINESSES,
OCCUPATIONS OR PROFESSIONS , WITHOUT A LICENSE OR OTHER FAILURE TO
COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREOF; FIXING THE AMOUNT TO BE PAID
BY THEATRES OTHER THAN MOVING PICTURE THEATRES, " having been passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of
Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in said
City on the 8th day of December, A. D. , 1939, and that said ord-
i nanc a remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said.
