Ordinance 575 ORDINANCE NO. 575 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 233, Pre- SCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ERECTION, REPAIR, REMOVAL AND DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS IN SAID CITY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Article 42, Section 2, of said code be amended to read as follows: "In every hotel or rooming house, every sleeping room shall be not less than eight feet (8' ) naught inches (0") high from finished floor to finished ceiling, and the floor area shall not be less than one hundred (100) square feet exclusive of closets and baths, and there shall be at least a connect- ing bathroom consisting of at least one toilet, one lavatory, and one bath or shower, for each two sleep- ing rooms." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the immediate preservation of the health and welfare of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, which is in peril, and for the protection of the citizens of said City and shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. D. , 1940, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
