ORDINANCE NO, 589
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE N .485 OF SAID CITY
ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF SALA-
RIES TO BE PAID TO EMPLOYEES OF
• THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AND FIXING THE RATE THEREOF,
CHANGING THE SALARY OF CAPTAIN OF
LIFE GUARDS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 485, being an ordinance of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, establishing a schedule
of salaries to be paid to employees of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and fixing the rate thereof, be and the same is hereby
amended by changing the rate of salary for the Captain of Life
Guards, under Item "Nu , Section 1, as follows:
"N. Captain of Life Guards - Maximum Salary per Month $300.00"
SECTION 2: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The salary rate changed by this Ordinance shall
become effective as of December 1st , 19401
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December, A. D. , 1940.

Ordinance No. 589 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1. 85 OF SAID
CITY ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE PAID TO
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING
THE RATE THEREOF, CHANGING THE SALARY OF CAPTAIN OF LIFE
GUARDS", having been passed and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me
in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 19th day of December, A. D. , 1940, and that said ord-
inance remained Hosted for a period of at least thirty days
in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of
the said City of Miami Beach.
