ORDINANCE NO. 597
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 289,
BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, SO AS TO CHANGE THE USE
AND AREA REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES
ON LaGORCE ISLAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Use and Area Regulations of the following
described properties, to-wit:
Block 2, Blocks 3 and 5, and Block 4, LaGorce Island,
in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, according to
Plats recorded in Plat Book 40 at Page 60, Plat Book
34 at Page 83, and Plat Book 40 at Page 7, respectively,
Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
be and the same are hereby amended, changed and modified so as to
change said properties from their present Use Regulation "RD" Single
Family District classification, to what is known as "RB" Estate
District classification,
and so as to change said properties from their present Area Regulation
District No. 7 to what is known as Area Regulation District No. 35.
SECTION 2: That the Use and Area Regulations of the following
described property, to-wit:
Block 6, LaGorce Island, in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, according to a Plat recorded in Plat Book
40 at Page 53, Public Records of Dade County, r'lorida,
be and the same are hereby amended, changed and modified so as to
change said property from its present Use Regulation "RD" Single
Family District classification, to what is known as "RC" Estate
District classification,
and so as to change said property from its present Area Regulation
District No. 7 to what is known as Area Regulation District No. 34.
SECTION 3: That the Use and Area Regulations of the following
described properties, to-wit:
Block :7, Block 8, and Block 9, LaGorce Island, in the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, according to Plats re-
corded in Plat Book 40 at Page 46, Plat Book 40 at
Page 6, and Plat Book 40 at Page 60, respectively,
Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
be and the same are hereby amended, changed and modified so as to
change said properties from their present Use Regulation "RD" Single
Family District classification, to what is known as "RC" Estate
District classification,
and so as to change said properties from their present Area Regulation
District No. 7, to what is known as Area Regulation District No. 22.
SECTION 4: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall take effect immediately after its
passage, approval and posting.

Ordinance No. 597 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 289, BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
SO AS TO CHANGE THE USE AND AREA REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROP-
ERTIES ON LaGORCE ISLAND", having been passed and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been
posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami
Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in s aid
City on the 17th day of April, A. D., 1941, and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days
in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 20th day or May, A. D. , 1941.
