Ordinance 599 ORDINANCE NO. 599 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE EMPLOY- MENT OF MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That except in cases of grave emergency, caused by storms and the like, no employee of the Police or Fire Departments, or Life Guards, of the City of Miami Beach shall be compelled to work for the City of Miami Beach more than six consecutive days without a day of rest. SECTION 2. That the adoption of this ordinance shall not operate to reduce the salary of, or increase the hours of labor of any employee of the City of Miami Beach. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4, This ordinance shall become effective as of May 1st, 1941. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th day of May, A.
