AN ORDINANCE OF TUE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SUB-SECTION
(2) , ENTITLED "WALLS AND FENCES" OF
SECTION 17 OF ORDINANCE NO. 289 OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED, BY ADDING A SUB-PARAGRAPH
"h" TO SAID SUB-SECTION (2) , PROVIDING
FOR THE KEEPING AND MAINTAINING OF
HEDGES OF LIVING VEGETATION IN THE
VARIOUS DISTRICTS NAMED IN SUB-PARAGRAPHS
a, b, c, d, e, f andg OF SAID SUB-SECTION
(2) OF SAID SECTION 17; LIMITING THE
HEIGHT OF SAID HEDGES AND PROVIDING CER-
TAIN OTHER RESTRICTIONS AS TO SUCH MAIN-
TENANCE AND HEIGHT OF SAID HEDGES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Sub-section (2) of Section 17 of Ordinance No. 289
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, as amended, be and
the same is hereby amended by the addition of a Sub-section "h" as
follows :
"h. Hedges of living vegetation may be kept and maintained in
the districts described in sub-paragraphs a, b, c, d, e and
f of Sub-section (2) of Section 17 of Ordinance No. 289, as
amended, with the same limitations, however, as to the height
thereof, as is provided for in these said sub-paragraphs a,
b, c, d, e and f for walls in said districts, and with the
further limitation of the maintenance and height thereof as
is contained in sub-paragraph "g" of said sub-section (2)
of said Section 17 of said Ordinance No. 289, as amended. "
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its
becoming a law.

SUB-SECTION (2) , PROVIDING FOR THE KEEPING AND MAINTAINING OF
HEDGES OF LIVING VEGETATION IN THE VARIOUS DISTRICTS NAMED IN

OF SAID SECTION 17; LIMITING THE HEIGHT OF SAID HEDGES AND
PROVIDING CERTAIN OTHER RESTRICTIONS AS TO SUCH MAINTENANCE
AND HEIGHT OF SAID HEDGES" , having been passed and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been
posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami
Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in said
City on the 6th day of October, A. D. , 1941, and that said.
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days
in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 3rd day of January, A. D. , 1942.
