Ordinance 608 ORDINANCE NO. 608, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 604 OF THE CITY OF MAIMI BEACH, FLORIDA, EN- TITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PAY SCHEDULES FOR ALL CLASSIFICATIONS OF POS- ITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT; PROVIDING FOR ITS ADMINISTRATION AND RE- PEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" , BY AMENDING SECTION 1 OF SAID ORDINANCE AND BY ADDING THERETO AN ADDITIONAL SEC- TION IMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 4 THEREOF, SAID ADDITIONAL SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 42. That Ordinance No. 604 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto, im- mediately after Section 4 thereof an additional Section to be known as Section 41 thereof and reading as follows: "Section 42. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to approve payment of Clothing Allowance, not to exceed ten (10) dollars monthly,-, for detectives who are required, in the performance of their duties, to furnish their own clothes." SECTION 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with.be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall become effective as of June 1st, 1941. -3- .
