Ordinance 628 ORDINANCE NO. 628
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CREATING THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER:
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT, DUTIES AND COMPEN-
SATION OF SAID ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAIMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That there be and hereby is created the office of
Assistant City Manager of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, who shall be appointed by the City Manager by and with
the consent of the City Council, and whose compensation shall
be fixed by ordinance. The duties of said Assistant City
Manager shall be prescribed by the City Manager,
SECTION 2: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed,
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its becoming a law,

the City of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby certify that
Ordinance No. 628 entitled, IT ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT CITY
MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT, DUTIES AND COMPEN-
SATION OF SAID ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER, " having been passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous places
in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 19th day of December, A. D. ,
1941, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of
at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of
the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 24th day of January, A. D. , 1942.
