Resolution 109 7-- RESOLUTION NO. 109. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING TTIE SALE OF NINETY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS, SERIES C SIX PER CENT CITY OF MIAMI BE ACH STREET I MPROVEMEN BONDS, OR ANY PART THEREOF; DIRECTING THE CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF THE TIME, PLACE AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH SALE; AND PRESCRIBING THE FORK OF SUCH NOTICE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida: Section 1. That said City of Miami Beach will offer for sale Ninety-two Thousand (02,000.00) Dollars,Series C, six per cent , City of Miami Beach Street Improvement Bonds. Section 2. That the City Clerk of said. city be, and he is, hereby directed to give notice by publication in the Miami Daily Metropolis, a newspaper published in the City of Miami, Dade County, Florida, and in the Bond. Buyer, published in the City of New York, New York, that sealed bids for the said bonds will be received by the City Council of said city until 7:30 P.M. September x,off, 1920. Section 3. That said notice shall be in substantially the following form: Ninety-two Thousand Dollars, Series C, Six per cent, City of Miami Beach Street Improvement Bonds. Sealed bids will be received by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, through the undersigned until 7 :30 P.M. September iv.* 1920, for the purchase of the above bonds, or any part thereof, dated September 1, 1920, and maturing Nine Thousand Dollars yearly for eight years, beginning 1922; and Ten Thousand Dollars yearly for the years 1930 and 1931; Principal and semi- annual interest payable through the United States Mort- gage and Trust Company of New York City, said bonds being prepared under their supervision and they will certify to the genuineness of the signatures and of the seal thereon. The legality will be assured by Chester B. Mas elich of New York City, and copies of his opinion will be furnished purchaser without charge. These bonds are a general obligatioof the City of Miami Beach and by authority of law-7a resolution of the City Council of said city J►., general tax levy, without limit,has been provided for payment of the principal and interest of all of the above bonds. A certified check on a solvent bank or trust company payable to the order of the City Clerk of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for two (2) per cent of the par value of the bonds bid for must ka accompany each bid. Bids must be made upon a printed: form to be furnished by the undersigned, or by the United States Mortgage & Trust Company as aforesaid, and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes marked "Bids for Bonds" . Bonds will be delivered at the office of the said trust company, 55 Cedar Street,New York City, on or about September,301 1920, and must then be paid for.
