RESOLUTION NO 14;
RESOLUTION FOR THE ADVERTISEMENT
AND SALE OF 450,000 W1TER
BONDS AND ;;25,000 FIRE DE-
PARTI .ENT BONDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
ofMiami Beach, Florida:
Section 1. That the City Clerk is directed to
give notice , by publishing in the Miami Daily Metropolis,
and in the :Daily Bond Buyer of New York, that sealed bids
for 4x50,000 Water Bonds and x25 ,000 Fire Department Bonds
will be received by the City Council until 7:30 o'clock,
• , Qanuary 19th 1921.
Section 2. That said notice shall be in sub-
stantially the following form:

6% GOLD BONDS
Sealed bids will be received by the City Council ad-
dressed to the undersigned and marked "Proposal for Bonds"
until .7;30 o 'clock,?.(. , January 19th 1921 for y50,000
Water Bonds maturing annually January 1, 4x2 ,000 1923 to 1937
and v5,000 1938 to 1941, and for 4i25 ,O00 Fire Department
Building and Equipwent Bonds u turing annually January 1,
44,000 1923 to 1935 and 42 ,000 1936 to 1941.
All of said bonds are issued by the City of Miami Beach
under date of January 1, 1921; principal and semi=ennual
interest( 6% J and J 1) , payable in gold at the United States
Mortgage & frust Company, New York; denomination 41,000;
general city obligations; a sufficient tax without limit
upon all property is provided for payment of principal and
interest.
The bonds will be prepared under the supervision of
the United States Mortgage & Trust Company, New York City,
which will certify as to the genuineness of the signatures
of the officials and the seal impressed thereon. Legality
will be approved by Chester B. Masslich, Esq. , New York
City, whose approving opinion will be furnished the pur-
chaser without charge.
Bids must be upon printed form to be furnished by the
undersigned or said Trust Company and be accompaniea by
a certified check payable to the order of the undersigned
for two ( 2) per cent. of bonds bid for. Bonds will be
delivered at place of purchaser's choice on or about

( 1)
any or all Lids is reserved. No bid under 97 and interest
will be entertained.
