SUBJECT: PLAY BALL MIAMI BEACH — KICK OFF TO THE DANNY BERRY BASEBALL
FALL SEASON
The Parks and Recreation Department invites you to attend the 2nd annual Play Ball Miami
Beach at the baseball field at North Shore Park (501 72nd Street) on August 27th, 2017, to help
kick off the upcoming Danny Berry Baseball season. The Department will offer residents a fun -
filled baseball themed jamboree, with free access to baseball clinics.
The Play Ball Initiative is the result of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the United States
Conference of Mayors' effort to encourage sustained participation in baseball for years to come.
During the summer of 2016, with the help of mayors across the country, MLB also implemented
"Play Ball Summer" to energize communities and generate support and love for baseball.
