'Morons, the City Council, by resolution, passed end adopted the
7th day of June , 1922, ordered the
Improvement SR- C , District SR- C and the City !cIngineev , under
direction of the City Council, has prepared and filed with the City
CleTk, plans and specifications of such improvement and an estiate
of the cost thereof, including an esti ,ete of the coot o, the inci-
dental oe-ponsee of said improvement , and whereas the City Aueitor has
reeorted in writing to the City Council that funds aro in the treasury
appliceblo to and sufficient for the payment of the City's share of the
cost of said improvement, and whereas due notice by publication as re-
, ,uired b: the City Charter has been made that the City Council would
on the 5th day of July, 1922, at the City Hall at 7:30 o'clock 2. L. ,
receive cril hear the remonstrances of all interested persons to the
confirmation of said resolution ordering said improvement , and 11 re-
monstvances received having been heard and con- idered by the City Coun-
cil.

Be It Further eesolved, That the City Clerk c use to be published
at least once in the l.iami 1)41y leetropolio, a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Miami Beach , also throughout the State,
a notie calling for sealed Vide to be received bythe City Council on
the aeth dsy of .1Ulev , 1922, at . o' clock 2. F.. , for the
construction of said work. said notice shall state the improvement is to
be constructed and paid for in cash, under section 29 of the City Charter.
Any bid. covering work to be done under more than one resolution shell be
in such _form as to rermit a separation to be mede of the cost under each
resolution, 1..elch proposal must be accompanied by a certifieC check upon
a bank or trust company of eloride in the amount of 2: per cent, of the
amount of the bid , payable to the City of Iliaeli Beach, to insure the
execution of a contract to carry out the work in accordance with the
plans and seecificetione . kil bide will be opened and awerd of contract
made or ell bids rejected. ftor an award hee been made the checks of
ell bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded,
shall be returned. In default of the entering into such contract , the
certified check re ,uired to accompany such bid shall be foefeite,: to
the City of Miami Beach, Plorida, not an ' penalty, but es lieuideted
damages for the dealy or additional cost which may be incurred be the city
by reason of such default. No bid will be permitted to be withdrawn for
any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
