AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 652, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE
CREATING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF MIAMI BEACH
CITY HOSPITAL; PRESCRIBING THE POWERS AND
DUTIES OF SAID BOARD, THE MANNER OF APPOINT•
MENT OF ITS MEMBERS, THE LENGTH OF TERMS OF
SERVICE OF ITS MEMBERS; REQUIRING AN ANNUAL
BUDGET OF SAID BOARD, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1, That Sections 4 and 5 of Ordinance No, 652 of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows:
"SECTION 4. The members of said Board shall select a Chairman
from among their number and likewise shall appoint
a secretary, who may or may not be a member of said Board, but in
the event any compensation shall be paid for the performance of the
duties incident to the office of secretary, then that pffice shall
be held by some one other than a member of said Board.
SECTION 5. No member of said Board, as member, as chairman,
or as secretary, shall receive any compensation
for his services except that each Trustee shall receive the sum of
$5,00 fore ach attendance at a meeting of the Board, provided, however,
that no member shall receive more than 'S1O.00 therefore in any calendar
month,"
be and the same are hereby amended so as to read as follows :
"SECTION 4, The members of said Board shall select a President
and Vice-President from among their number and
likewise shall appoint a secretary, who may or may not be a member
of said Board, but in the event any compensation shall be paid for
the performance of the duties incident to the office of secretary,
then that office shall be held by some one other than a member of
said Board.
SECTION 5. No member of said Board, as member, as President,
vice-president or as secretary, shall receive any
compensation for his services except that each Trustee shall receive
the sum of X5.00 for each attendance at a meeting of the Hoard,
provided, however. , that no member shall receive more than $10000
therefor in any calendar month."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon
its becoming a law.

MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 652, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CREATING A
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF MIAMI BEACH CITY HOSPITAL; PRESCRIBING
THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID BOARD, THE MANNER OF APPOINT-
MENT OF ITS MEMBERS, THE LENGTH OF TERMS OF SERVICE OF ITS
MEMBERS; REQUIRING AN ANNUAL BUDGET OF SAID BOARD, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES" , having been passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted
by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach,
one of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City
on the 6th day of August, A. D. , 19+2 and that said Ordinance
remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
X Said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this 4th day of November, A. D. , 1942.
