AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF
SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLO-
RIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That a schedule of rates of salaries for the Administrative
Officers of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the
same is hereby established as follows:
A. CITY ENGINEER Maximum salary per month $484.00
B. CITY CLERK Maximum salary per month 506.00
C. SHOP AND WATER SUPERINTENDENT
Maximum salary per month 407.00
D. POLICE CHIEF Maximum salary per month 407.00
E. FIRE CHIEF Maximum salary per month 385.00
F. TAX ASSESSOR Maximum salary per month 363.00
G. CHIEF BUILDING INSPECTOR Maximum salary per month 363.00
H. GENERAL RECREATION OFFICER Maximum salary per month 363.00
I. BEACH PATROL CAPTAIN Maximum salary per month 363.00
J. MUNICIPAL JUDGE Maximum salary per month 363.00
K. ASSOCIATE MUNICIPAL JUDGE Maximum salary per month 60.50
L. GOLF COURSE MANAGER Maximum salary per month 275.00
M. CITY MANAGER Maximum Salary per month 998.25
N. CITY ATTORNEY Maximum Salary per month 550.00
together with a monthly allowance
to said City Attorney for secretarial
assistance in the sum of 176.00
O. DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL Maximum salary per month 247.50
P. ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER Maximum salary per month 247.50

SECTION 2. That Ordinances No. 603 and No. 621 and all other ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective as of November 1st, 1942.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of Januar A. D. , 1943.

for the City of Miami Beach, do hereby certify that
Ordinance No. 678 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF SALARIES
TO BE PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE F FICERS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES THEREOF" ,having
been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which
was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the 18th
day of January, A. D. , 1943 and that said Ordinance remained
posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance
with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City
of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 3rd day of March, A. D. , 1943.
