B3 IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Bea@h, Florida:
That, from and after August 15th 1923, VAN ALEN
HARRIS , shall be and he is hereby, employed as City Manager of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, and his powers , duties and com-
pensation shall be those set forth in an Ordinance this day given
its first reading by the said City Council , under the terms of
which the office of City Manager for said city is created.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of August , A. D. , 1923.
