AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1.03.055.04
QF THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 1.03.05.04 of the Building Code of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows
11 .04 ELECTRICIANS: For the purpose of determining
the competency of electricians,
there shall be appointed by the City Manager, by and
with the consent of the City Council, an Examining
Board consisting of the Chief Building Inspector, as
ex-officio secretary, and in addition thereto, two
master electricians and one journeyman electrician,
each of whom shall have had at least ten (10) years
of electrical experience, and an established place
of business or business connection, in the City of
Miami Beach. The Chief Building Inspector shaf. hold
office during his incumbency as such, and the other
members shall be appointed for over-lapping terms of
three (3) years, subject to removal by the City Coun-
cil on charges of misconduct and after an opportunity
has been given for a public hearing. Examinations
shall be written, and shall be conducted with due re-
gard to the responsibilities involved in the work to
be performed."

board, to be known as the Board of Electrical Examiners,
consisting of the Chief Electrical Inspector, as ex-
officio secretary, and in addition thereto, three mas-
ter electricians, each of whom shall have had at least
ten (10) years of electrical experience, and an estab-
lished place of business, or business connection, in
the City of Miami Beach. The Chief Electrical Inspec-
tor shall hold office during his incumbency as such,
and the other members shall be appointed for over-
lapping terms of three (3) years, subject to removal
by the City Council on charges of misconduct and after
an opportunity has been given for a public hearing.
Examinations shall be written and shall be conducted
with due regard to the responsibilities involved in
the work to be performed."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon
its passage and posting as required by law.

that Ordinance No. 688 entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 1. 03. 05.0 . OF THE BUILDING CODE . OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA" , having been passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the
City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the
City Hall in said City on the 6th day of October, A. D. ,
1943, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period
of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements
of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
