RESOLUTION NO. 492
SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT SR-2 SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-
WHE. EAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida;, the 16th day of January, 1924, pursuant to a notice
of a meeting under Section 29 of the Charter of said City to
hear all written objections to the confirmation of the prelimi-
nary assessment roll of Sanitary Sewer Improvement SR-2, Dis-
trict SR-2, by any person whose property is described in said
preliminary assessment roll, which roll was filed with the City
Council on January 9, 1924, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, having received no written
remonstrances filed to the confirmation of said preliminary as-
sessment roll by any person whose property is described iii said
roll,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the prima facie assessments
as indicated on said preliminary assessment roll be and the same
are in all things confirmed and sustained against a
and all lots or parcels of ground described therein, except as to
the following described lots against which said assessment is
modified and reduced; the amount by which said assessment is here
by reduced being hereby charged to the City at large, so that
the assessment shall be as follows, it being hereby decided that
the special benefits to said lots because of other sanitary sewer
assessments being m de against said lots are those benefits as
stated below after such modification and reduction:
The assessment against Lot 16 of Block 51 of Ocean Beach
Addition No. 3 as per plat recorded in Plat Book 2, at Page 81
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, is hereby reduced
to $31.19 because said lot is also assessed in Sanitary Sewer
Improvement SR-1 for its full width on its South end.
The assessment against Lots 8 to 17 , inclusive of Block
52 of said Ocean Beach Addition No. 3, according to said plat,
is hereby reduced to 49.36 per lot because said lots are assesse(
on another side thereof in Sanitary Sewer Improvement SR-i , Dis-
trict SR-1.
The assessments against Lots 18 and 19 of Block 52 last
aforesaid, according to said plat, are hereby reduced to 431.19
per lot because each of saic_ lots are assessed also on their
short side in Sanitary Sewer Improvement SR-1, District SR-1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sums and amounts assessed
against each of the lots or parcels of ground described in said
preliminary assessment roll, and the sums and amounts against ea
of the lots or parcels of ground herein set forth are less than
the amounts each lot or nardel of ground is benefited by said im
proveaient, and that the total cost of said improvecient, in the
sum of 44,186. 60 is hereby approved and confirmed, the proportio
of said cost to be paid by the City of Miami Beach, including th
cost at street intersections, being : 1,618.33, exclusive of the
charge hereinbefore made to the City at large.

BE IT rURT}I R RESOLVED that ten days after this confirma-
tion of said assessment roll the same be delivered to the City
Clerk and the City Clerk is hereby ordered, thirty days after
the date of this resolution, to make collection of the assessments
therein as required by law, provided, however, that the owner of
any lot or parcel of lana which shall have been assessed in excess
of X25.00 may, before the lapse of saia thirty days, file with the
City Clerk, his written undertaking, waiving all irregularities
and illega=lity in connection with said assessment against said lot
or parcel and agree to pay the same in equal installments in each
of the five succeeding years, et the times in said years Et ti;hick
the general City taxes are due and payable, with interest upon said
deferred installments at the rate of six per cent. per annum from d
of said confirmation, which said five-year period is hereby fixed
and determined by the City Council.
