AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO EMPLOY,
PERMIT OR SUFFER ANY FEMALE TO DRIVE OR
OPERATE A TAXICAB OR AUTOMOBILE FOR HIRE
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF TEN O' CLOCK P. M. AND
SIX O' CLOCK A. M.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora-
tion to employ, permit or suffer any female to drive
or operate any taxicab or automobile for hire between
the hours of ten o' clock P. M. and six o' clock A. M. of any day.
SECTION F. Any person, firm or corporation, or any member of
any firm or corporation, violating the provisions of
this ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceed-
ing Five hundred ($500.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment for a period
not exceeding thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment
in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon
its passage and posting as required by law.

HIRE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF TEN O'CLOCK P. M. AND SIX O 'CLOCK
A. M. " , having been passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, one of
which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the
2nd day of March, A. D. 1944, and that said Ordinance remained
posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with
the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami
Reach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 12th day of April, A. D. 1944.
