RESOLUTION NO. 587
A RESOLUTION
PROVIDING FOR THF EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF
$10,000 IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES F, IN EX-
CHANGE FOR $10,000 IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES
F, DATED APRIL 1, 1923, ACCIDENTLY MUTILATED.
WHEREAS, ten bonds of $1,000 each, numbered 71
to 80, inclusive, and maturing April 1, 1930, of an issue
of $220,000 5-3/4% Improvement Bonds Series s F, of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, dated April 1, 1923, were
accidently mutilated by scorching; and
AiEREAS, The Atlantic National Bank of
Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Florida, has requested the
execution and delivery to it of a like amount of new bonds,
with proper coupons, and has offered to print such new bonds
and coupons and to surrender the mutilated bonds and coupons
thereto attached upon such delivery; and
14HEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is indebted
upon said mutilated bonds in accordance with the terms
thereof and of the annexed interest coupons which mature
April 1, 1924 and semi-annually thereafter until and in-
cluding April 1, 1930; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That when ten new $1,000 bonds,
numbered 71 to 80, inclusive, shall have been printed, . ith
coupons annexed thereto showing semi-annual interest payable
April 1, 1924 and semi-annually thereafter until and
including April 1, 1930, the maturity of such new bonds,
such new bonds and coupons to be identical in words, figures
and numbers, with such mutilated bonds and coupons attached
thereto, such new bonds shall be signed by the Mayor and
City Clerk and attested by the City Auditor and sealed with
the official seal of the City, and such new coupons shall
bear the facsimile signature of said City Clerk, and such

new bonds and coupons shall thereupon be delivered in
exchange for said mutilated bonds with attached coupons
showing interest maturing April 1, 1924 and semi-annually
thereafter until and including April 1, 1930.
Section 2. That when such exchange has been
made the Oity ...Auditor shall cause said mutilated bonds
and attached coupons to be cancelled and shall cause to
be endorsed upon each of said mutilated bonds a statement
substantially as follows :
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
1924.
This mutilated bond and attached coupons
haw been cancelled upon issuance of a new
bond and coupons therefor.
Oity Auditor .
Section 3. The said mutilated bonds and coupons
attached shall, after compliance with Section 2 hereof, be
retained in the custody of the City Auditor,_ .
