Ordinance 739 ORDINANCE NO. 739
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.00.19 OF THE BUILDING
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 11.00.19 of Ordinance No. 592, being the
Building Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be
and the same is hereby amended to read' as follows :
"11.00.19 RENEWALS OF CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCY.
The expiration date of all Certificates of Compe-
tency shall be October 31st of each year, and shall
be renewable as of course, unless there shall exist
grounds for revocation as set forth herein. It
shall be deemed a violation of this Code for any
person to perform any electrical work in the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, who does not have in his
possession, a certified, unexpired Certificate of
Competency of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
Any applicant for the renewal of an electrician' s
certificate, who, for a period of two consecutive
years prior to the date of application for renewal,
has not been engaged in electrical construction,
shall appear before the Board of Electrical Examiners
for re-examination under the requirements that are
provided herein for regular electrical examinations. "
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.00.19 OF THE BUILDING CODE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA" , having been passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been
posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 20th day of June, A.D. , 1945, and that said Ordinance remained
posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the
requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
