AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1, 2 AND,. 4 OF ORDI-
NANCE NO. 549 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING CERTAIN
DIVISIONS AND OFFICES OF THE CITY SERVICE AND CLAR-
IFY ING THE ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY
FOR PURPOSES OF CARRYING OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THE
CIVIL SERVICE ACT, AND GIVING THE CITY MANAGER
AUTHORITY TO PRESCRIBE FUNCTIONS OF THE VARIOUS
DIVISIONS OF THE CITY SERVICE, PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF THE CITY CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1, That that portion of Section 1 of Ordinance No, 519
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows:
"F. PUBLIC RELATIONS GROUP:
23. Publicity Division
24. Personnel Division"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"F. PERSONNEL GROUP:
23. Personnel Division. "
SECTION 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance No, 549 of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto, at the end thereof, the following:
"G, PUBLIC RELATIONS GROUP:
24. News Bureau Division
25. Convention Bureau Division",
SECTION 3. That that portion of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 549 of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows:
"A, CITY MANAGER:
16. Purchasing Division
20, Division of Social Welfare
23. Publicity Division
24, Personnel Division"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"A. CITY MANAGER:
16. Purchasing Division
20. Division of Social Welfare
23. Personnel Division. "
SECTION ii. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 549 of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto, at the end thereof, the following:
"P. DIRECTOR OF NEWS BUREAU DIVISION
24-, News Bureau Division
"Q. DIRECTOR OF CONVENTION BUREAU
25, Convention Bureau Division".
SECTION 5. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 54-9 of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended,
by adding thereto, at the end thereof, the following:
"That the Director of Public Relations Department
shall have general supervision over the City Con-
vention Bureau Division and over the News Bureau
Division."
SECTION 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 7 That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, one of
which was at the door of the City Hall in said. City on the 17th.
day of October, A.D. , 1945, and that said Ordinance remained post-
ed for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the
requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 28th day of November, A. D. , 1945.
