AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 549 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING
CERTAIN DIVISIONS AND OFFICES OF THE CITY SER-
VICE AND CLARIFYING THE ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANI-
ZATION OF THE CITY FOR PURPOSES OF CARRYING OUT
THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT, AND
GIVING THE CITY MANAGER AUTHORITY TO PRESCRIBE
FUNCTIONS OF THE VARIOUS DIVISIONS OF THE CITY
SERVICE, PURSUANT TO TH3 PROVISIONS OF THE CITY
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 549 of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows:
"SECTION 3: That the Appointing Authorities referred to
in Chapter 18696 of the Special Acts of Florida,
1937, for the various organizational units established in
Section 1 of this Ordinance, shall be as follows:

SECTION 2: THAT the Welfare of the City is in peril and this
ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure and to be necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety and the
three readings thereof shall be had at one session, and this ordi-
nance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage.

and that said ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
said City of Miami Beach.
