AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 1
OF ORDINANCE NO. 256 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED: "AN ORDI NAN CE REGU-
LATING THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF WATER
FURNISHED TO OWNERS AND CONSUMERS BY THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH; REGULATING THE RATES THEREFOR;
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF; CREATION OF
LIENS FOR PAST DUE AND UNPAID ACCOUNTS; AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 253, AND ALL OTHER
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWI TH".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That that portion of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 256 of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, set forth in said ordi-
nance as follows:
"SECTION "B" - SCHEDULE OF RATES
TAPPING CHARGE.
4. Upon the application of the owner or consumer for water
service, on premises to which there has not been made any
previous service for water, the following tapping charges
shall be made to cover the cost of the tap and the installation
of the service to the property line of the lot to be supplied
with water service:
3/)4" Tap and Service $20.00
1 " Tap and Service 25.00
1* " Tap and Service 45.00
2 " Tap and Service 75.00
3 " Tap and Service 100.00
4 " Tap and Service 125.00
6 " Tap and Service 150.00
8 " Tap and Service 200.00"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION "B" - SCHEDULE OF RATES
TAPPING CHARGE.
4. Upon the application of the owner or consumer for water
service, on premises to which there has not been made any

SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

REGULATING THE RATES THEREFOR; PENALITIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF;
CREATION OF LIENS FOR PAST DUE AND UNPAID ACCOUNTS; AND REPEAL-
ING ORDINANCE NO. 253, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", having been passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has
been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, one of which was at the door of the City
Hall in said City on the 2nd day of January, A. D. , 1947, and
that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of. the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on this
the third day of February, A. D. , 1947.
