MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL
CLASSIFICATIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSI-
FIED SERVICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COI-MPENSATION THEREFOR,
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SEtR-
VICE ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRA-
TION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ORDINANCES

SECTION 8: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 789 of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, reading as follows:
"SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
approve payments of Clothing Allowance, not to exceed
ten (10) dollars per month, for Detectives who are
required in the performance of their duties to furnish
their own clothes."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
approve payments of Clothing Allowance for Detectives,
and for other officers of the uniformed force who are
regularly detailed to perform their duties in plain
clothes, and who are specifically recommended for such
allowance by the Police Chief. Such Clothing Allowance
shall not exceed Ten (:;)10.00) Dollars per month."
SECTION 9: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 10: If any portion of this ordinance shall be declared in-
valid, the remaining portions shall have the same force
and effect as though such invalid portions had not been
included.
