Event: Seniors' Mardi Gras Masquerade
Date: Wednesday, September 20, 2017
Time: 6:00 p.m. — 8:30 p.m.
Location: Jungle Island Tree Top Ballroom (1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, FL 33132)
The City of Miami Beach will host a Seniors' Mardi Gras Masquerade Party, where guests will
enjoy an evening of refreshments, food and fun. The event is free for seniors, and transportation
will be provided from designated pick -up locations.
Event: Miami Beach Teen Club's Theatrical Performance - IMPossible
Date: Friday, September 22, 2017
Time: 8:00 p.m. — 10:00 p.m.
Location: Colony Theater (1040 Lincoln Road)
Cost: $5.00
IMpossible is an interactive play that gives audience members the opportunity to participate in
different scenes throughout the show. IMpossible is held in a court room setting where a
teenage girl "Hope Reiley" is on trial for breaking our societies' rules. Hope has faced many
obstacles in her young life changing the way she perceives the world. The performance will
tackle many serious issues such as homelessness and mental distress while still sending an
inspirational message to all its viewers. The play will introduce a myriad of characters with the
attempt to sway audience member's votes. While the witnesses are on the stand six different
screens will show flashbacks giving you clues on who is actually telling the truth. Towards the
end of the play the audience is given the responsibility to deliberate on the defendant's fate. Is
she innocent or guilty? You choose!
Event: Domino Tournament
Date: Wednesday, September 27, 2017
Time: 6:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.
Location: Domino Pavilion (7200 Collins Avenue)
Come throw down your "fichas" as we enjoy an evening of fun to celebrate Hispanic Heritage.
