Ordinance 871ORDINANCE NO. 871 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 457 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION, PHOTOGRAPHING AND FINGERPRINTING OF ALL EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED IN SAID CITY AT ANY NIGHT CLUB, ANY PLACE HANDLING LIQUOR, BEER OR iTINE IN ANY FORM, PLACES OF AMUSEMENT, HOTELS, ROOMING HOUSES, APARTMENT HOUSES, DELIVERY SERVICES, RESTAURANTS, BATH CLUBS, BATH HOUSES, SOLARIUMS; AND ALL CADDIES, NEWSPAPER DELIVERY BOYS OVER THE AGE OF SEVENTEEN, SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS, DOMESTIC SERVANTS, TAXICAB DRIVERS, VENDING MACHINE OPERATORS, AND CHARTER BOAT OPERATORS; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF IDENTIFICATION CARDS TO SAID PERSONS; ESTABLISHING A FEE OF 25¢ FOR EACH SUCH IDENTIFICATION CARD OR RENEWAL THhREOF, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIO- LATION THEREOF." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 457 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows: "Section 2. Identification cards shall be issued to each such person so registering, which said identification card shall be renewed by the holder thereof each thirty-six (36) months thereafter by re -registration as above set forth." be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2. Identification cards shall be issued to each such person so registering, which said identification card shall be renewed by the holder thereof each twelve (12) months thereafter by re -registration as above set forth. Any such registration which shall have been made prior to January 15th, 1949, and any such identification card issued prior to January 15th, 1949, which, by its terms, purports to be effective for three (3) years from date thereof, shall expire and shall require renewal on January 15, 1950." SECTION 2: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and posting as required by law. PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of December A. D. 1948. D. 1949, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said .;ity of Miami Beach.
