AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 394 OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, IMPOSING LICENSES AND OTHER TAXES
ON PRIVILEGES, BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS AND
PROFESSIONS CARRIED ON AND ENGAGED IN WITHIN
SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE
EXERCISING OF SUCH PRIVILEGES OR CARRYING ON
SUCH BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS OR PROFESSIONS,
WITHOUT A LICENSE OR OTHER FAILURE TO COMPLY
WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREOF".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That that portion of Section 5 of Ordinance No.
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as
follows:
"COIN-OPERATED MERCHANDISE OR SERVICE VENDING MACHINES
(except machines vending drinking cups or postage
stamps) not otherwise provided for herein; where cost
per item to purchaser is:
(a) less than 10¢, each machine 4.00
(b) 100 or more, each machine 10 00"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
r"COIN-OPERATED MERCHANDISE OR SERVICE VENDING MACHINES
(except machines vending drinking cups or postage
stamps) not otherwise provided for herein,
each machine 4 00"

SECTION 2: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED: IAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, IMPOSING LICENSES AND OTHER TAXES ON
PRIVILEGES, BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS AND PROFESSIONS CARRIED ON
AND ENGAGED IN WITHIN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR
THE EXERCISING OF SUCH PRIVIT,FGES OR CARRYING ON SUCH BUSINESSES,
OCCUPATIONS OR PROFESSIONS, WITHOUT A LICENSE OR OTHER FAILURE
TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREOF", having been passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of
Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in
said City on the 17th day of November, A. D. 1948, and that said
ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days
in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on this
the 28th day of December, A. D. 1948.
