Alba Tarre Receives NextGen in blic Service Award
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to advise the Mayor and Commission that Alba
Tarre, Assistant Department Director for the Office of Housing and Community Services (HCS),
was awarded the Next Generation (NextGen) in Public Service Silent Hero of the Year award.
The Next Generation award recognizes "a public service leader who has operated
behind the scenes, silently working in a dedicated and committed fashion, without the
limelight, who has laid the foundation for stellar public service results and community
change at the local, national, or international level." The award was announced at the
Next Generation of Government Training Summit held in Washington, DC on July 2?1h.
As HCS Assistant Director, Alba oversees our homeless outreach operations and
community development services, among others. We congratulate Alba on receiving
this prestigious recognition.
