Ordinance 948 II ORDINANCE NO, 948 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF TIIE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASSI- FICATIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SER- VICE OF THE CITY OF iiIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS OR- DINANCE AND i PEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT IIERE?'II TH," BE IT ORDAINED Ell THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIM BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 789 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the' same is hereby amended by adding thereto, imlediately following Section 6 thereof, a new section to be designated Section 61, to read as follows: "SECTION 6i.: The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve payments of salary under the terms and provisions of the Personnel Rules of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, relating to leaves of absence, with pa;r, for military training or service." SECTION 2: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and posting as required by law. PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of October A.
