AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 678
ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A
SCHEDULE OF SALARII. S TO BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE
RATES THEREOF."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLTLIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 678 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto imme-
diately after Section 2 thereof, a new section to be desig-
nated Section 22, which new section shall read as follows:
"SECTION 2 : Notwithstanding any of the pro-
visions, schedules , rates or allowances relating
to compensation as set forth in Section 1 of
this ordinance, there shall be paid to each em-
ployee whose payment of salary or allowance is
authorized by this ordinance, as increased cost
of living compensation, an additional salary or
allowance based upon the following provision:
a. There shall be added to the computed pay
for each employee on a monthly rate, ten
dollars ( 10.00) for each half month period,
less eighty cents ( .80) for each normal
work day in that period for which no compensa-
tion is paid .
The additional compensation provided for in this
section shall be applicable to all payments of
salary and allowances paid for service rendered
on and after October 1st, 1950. "
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon
its passage and posting as required by law.

'AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING
A SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES THEREOF '" ,
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 27th day of December, A. D.
1950, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at
least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 31st day of January, A. D. 1951.
