AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.2 OF "THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COJNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLOR I DA:
SECTION 1: That Section 6.2 of "The Code of the City of Miami •
Beach, Florida, 1950" be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows :
"Sec. 6.2 SALARY SCHEEDUT,1 OF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFIC1 S.
A schedule of rates of salaries for the administrative
officers of the city is hereby established as follows:
(a) City Engineer Salary per month 835.00
(b) City Clerk Salary per month 835,00
( c) Shop and Water
Superintendent Salary per month 555.00
(d) Police Chief Salary per month 676.00 •
(e) Fire Chief Salary per month 527.00
( f) Tax Assessor Salary per month 627.00
(g) Chief Building
Inspector Salary per month 517.00
(h) General Recreation
Officer Salary per month 495.00
( i) Beach Patrol Captain Salary per month 517.00
( j ) Municipal Judge Salary per month 517.00
(k) Associate Municipal
Judge Salary per month 250.00
( 1) Golf Course Manager
- (Normandy Isle) Salary per month 495.00
Golf Course Manager
(Bay Shore) Salary per month 495.00
(m) City Mara ager Salary per month 1,306.00
(n) City Attorney Salary per month 1,000.00
Together with a monthly allowance to
City Attorney for secretarial assis-
tance in the sum of 330.00
and
Together with a monthly allowance to
said City Attorney for two assistants
in the sum of 1,200.00 •
(o) Director of Personnel Salary per •month 370.00
Provided, however, that where a member
of the classified service is appointed
to the office of personnel director
and performs the functions and duties
thereof on a part time basis in addi-
tion to the performance ofthe duties
of his -position in the classified ser-
vice, he shall receive, in addition to
his salary in the classified service, a
salary per month as personnel director
of 100.00
(p) Assistant City Manager Salary per month 370.00
( q) If offices of director of
personnel and assistant
city manager are com-
bined Salary per month 550.00
(r) Park Superintendent Salary Der month 501.00

Notwithstanding the schedules, rates, salaries and allow-
ances in this section hereinbefore set forth, there shall
be paid to each employee whose payment of salary is au-
thorized by this section, as increased cost of living
compensation, an additional salary or allowance based
upon the following Provision:
a. 2here shall be addedto the computed pay for each
employee on a monthly rate, ten dollars ( >l0.00)
for each half month Period, less eighty cents
(•?.80) for eachnormal work day in that period
for which no compensation is Paid.
The additional compensation thus provided for shall be
applicable to all Payments of salary and allowances paid
for services rendered on and. after October 1st, 1950. 11
SECTION 2 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon
its passage and posting as required by law.

981, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.2 OF ' THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950", having
been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which
was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the 18th
day of July, A. D. 1951, and that said Ordinance remained
posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance
with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of
Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
