ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI.IY OF
TIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A
SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE
RATES THEREOF. "
BE I T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 678 of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
("SECTION 1: A schedule of rates of salaries for
the administrative officers of the City is hereby established as
follows:
A. City Engineer Salary per month 835.00
B. City Clerk Salary per month 835.00
C. Shop and Water
Superintendent Salary per month 555.00
D. Police Chief Salary per month 676.00
E. Fire Chief Salary per month 527.00
F. Tax Assessor Salary per month 627.00
G. Chief Euilding
Inspector Salary per month 517.00
H. General Recreation
Officer Salary per month 4v5.00
I . Beach Patrol Captain Salary per month 517.00
J. Municipal Judge Salary per month 517.00
K. Associate Municipal
Judge Salary per month 250.00
L. Golf Course Manager

Notwithstanding the schedules, rates, salaries and allowances
- in this section hereinbefore set forth, there shall be paid to each
employee whose payment of salary is authorized by this section, as
increased cost of living compensation, an additional salary or allowance
based upon the following provision:
a. There shall be added to the computed pay for
each employee on a monthly rate, seventeen
and 50/100 (; 17.50) dollars for each half
month period, less one and 40/100 N1.40)
dollars for each normal work day in that
period for which no compensation is paid.
The additional compensation thus provided for shall be appli-
cable to all payments of salary and allowances paid for services rendered
on aa d after October 1st, 1951. "
SECTION 2: That Section Z-z of Ordinance No. 678 of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 27 : Notwithstanding any of the provisions,
schedules, rates or allowances relating to compensa-
tion as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance,
there shall be paid to each employee whose payment
of salary or allowance is authorized by this ordinance,
as increased cost of living compensation, an additional
salary or allowance based upon the following provision:
a. There shall be added to the computed pay
for each employee on a monthly rate, Seventeen
and 50/100 N17.50) Dollars for each half
month period, less One and 40/100 (: 1.40)
Dollars for each normal work day in that
period for which no compensation is paid.
The additional compensation provided for in this
section shall be applicable to all payments of
salary and allowances paid for services rendered
on and after October 1st, 1951. "
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shat 1 go into effect immediately upon its
passage and posting as required by law.

ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES
THEREOF' " , having been passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was
at the door of the City Hall in said City on the lgth day of
December, A.D. 1951, and that said Ordinance remained posted for
a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements
of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 31st day of January, A.D. 1952.
