Ordinance 1055 ORDINANCE NO. 1055 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1048 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO PUBLISH, CIRCULATE OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED OR CIR- CULATED DURING THE EIGHTEEN DAYS PRECEDING ANY MUNICIPAL ELECTION, ANY CHARGE OR ATTACK UPON ANY CANDIDATE UNLESS A COPY OF SUCH CHARGE OR ATTACK HAS BEEN PERSONALLY SERVED UPON SUCH CANDIDATE AT LEAST EIGHTEEN DAYS PRIOR TO SUCH ELECTION. " BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 . That Ordinance' No. 1048 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended by adding)� thereto an additional section to be known as Section `t and to read as follows : "SECTION 4. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or imprisonment in the City Jail for not more than Ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge . " SECTION 2: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: Pursuant to the authority granted by Senate Bill No . 610, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1953, the three readings of this ordinance shall be had at one session of the City Council and this ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage . D. 1953, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
