Ordinance 1079 ORDINANCE NO. 1079 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 678 EN- TITLED, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES TFIT;REOF." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That that portion of Section 1 of Ordinance 678 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows : "Notwithstanding the schedules, rates, salaries and allow- ances in this section hereipbefore set forth, there shall be paid to each employee whose payment of salary is autho- rized by this section, as increased cost of living com- pensation, an additional salary or allowance based upon the rollowing provision: a. There shall be added to the computed pay for each employee on a monthly rate, Seven- teen and 50/100 (v17.50) Dollars for each half month period,less One and 40/100 ( ,?1.40) Dollars for each normal work day in that period for which no compensation is paid. The additional compensation thus provided for shall be applicable to all payments of salary and allowances paid for services rendered on and after October 1st, 1951." be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Notwithstanding the schedules, rates, salaries and allow- ances in this section hereinbefore set forth, there shall be paid to each employee whose payment of salary is autho- rized by this section, as increased cost of living compen- sation, an additional salary or allowance based upon the following provision: a. There shall be added to the computed pay for each employee on a monthly rate, Twenty-two and 50/100 (`;22. 50) Dollars for each half month period, less One and 80/100( 1.80) Dollars for each normal work day in that period for which no compensation is paid. The additional compensation thus provided for shall be applicable to all payments of salary and allowances paid for services rendered on and after October 1st, 1953 ." SECTION 2: That Ordinance No. 678 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida be and the same is hereby amended by deleting therefrom and repealing Section 2i- thereof. D. 1953, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
