Ordinance 1094 • ORDINANCE NO . 10914 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO . 289 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA" . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 : That Section 8 of Ordinance No . 289 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "SECTION 8. USE REGULATIONS BB" Business District . In the 'BB- Business District no building or land shall be used and no building shall be hereafter erected, constructed, reconstructed, or structurally altered which is designed, arranged or intended to be occupied or used for any purpose, unless otherwise provided for in this ordinance, excepting for one or more of the following uses : 1 . Any use permitted in the BA Business District . 2 . , Automobile Rental Agencies provided that such automobile rental agencies be within an enclosed building of sufficient area to house or store at least 50% of the automobiles proposed to be retned . 3 . Public Storage Garages . 4 . Pressing Clubs . 5 . Storage warehouses . 6 . Conservatories . 7 . Printing shops . 8. Retail plumbing stores and shops . 9 . Service Stations, only upon the approval and permit by the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida. 10 . Awning stores . 11 . Employment agencies . 12 . Retail bakeries doing baring on the premises, provided such. retail bakeries comply with the following requirements : a. Oven shall be limited to either two Blodgett ovens, or one revolving oven not to exceed sixteen pans capacity, or equivalent; b . Adjoining properties shall be safeguarded and protected from obnoxious exhaust fan noises and odors; c . All machinery shall be entirely confined within the main structure; d. Operation shall be limited to those hours between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P .M. 13. Retail electric and repair shops . 14 . Fish markets, only upon approval and permit of the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida. 16 . Bowling alleys in air conditioned and sound proofed rooms, only upon approval and permit of the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida. 17 . Automatic service restaurants where service is pro- vided for at tables and/or automobiles on private property without transporting food or drinks by waiters, waitresses or carhops from the kitchen or place of preparation to the customers, only upon approval and permit of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida . -1- OFFICE OF CITY ATTORNEY - CITY HALL - MIAMI BEACH 39. FLORIDA or any other similar enterprises or businesses, which are not more obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the particular community than the enterprises or businesses herein enumerated. " SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed .
