AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ENTITLED: " AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL
CLASSIFICATIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSI-
FIED SERVICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR,
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL
SERVICE ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINIS-
TRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:

The compensation provided for Fireman, Fire Engineman, Company Fire
Captain, and Battalion Fire Captain is computed on the basis of being
on duty 120 hours in each two consecutive calendar weeks, and if any
of said employees shall be on duty in excess thereof he shall be
compensated for such overtime at a sum per hour equal to One Two
Hundred and Sixtieth (1/260th) of his monthly salary. "

CLASSIFICATIONS OF PCSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION
THEREFOR, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND
REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", having been passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in
the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the
City Hall in said City on the 21st day of January, A. D. 1954,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at
least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the
City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
