Ordinance 1115 ORDINANCE NO . 1115 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASSIFICA- TIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SER- VICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR, PUR- SUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERV- ICE ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRA- TION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 : That that portion of Section 1 of Ordi- nance No . 789 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows : "16 . " is hereby amended by adding thereto, at the end thereof, the following: "Not withstanding the above provisions, the maximum compensation for a Life Guard after his third year of service shall be $308.00 per month while on duty at a municipal swimming pool . " SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed .
