Ordinance 1127 ORDINANCE NO. 1127
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, 1950"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That Section 22 .83 of "The Code of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, 1950" reading as
follows :
"Sec . 22 .83 WEAPONS-Discharging firearms .
It shall be unlawful for any unauthor-
ized person to discharge, fire or shoot within the
city, any firearm or other weapons, including air
rifles, air pistols, sling shots or weapons of the
kind usually called "BB gun", from which weapon any
bullet, shot or pellet of lead or other material is
discharged or expelled . It shall be unlawful for
any person having custody or control of any minor
to knowingly permit or allow such minor to dis-
charge, fire or shoot any weapon of the kind here-
in referred to, within the city. "
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows :

rifles, air pistols, sling shots or weapons of the
kind usually called "BB gun, " from which weapon any
bullet, shot or pellet of lead or other material is
discharged or expelled, or for any person to discharge,
fire or shoot in the waters within the city, except
Government Cut, any weapon commonly known as a "CO2
gun" or any weapon from which any bullet, shot or
pellet of lead, or other material, or from which a
lance, spear or arrow is launched, propelled, dis-
charged, fired or shot by means of compressed air,
springs or bands, whether such weapon is discharged,
fired or shot from, or under, the surface of said
waters . It shall be unlawful for any person having
custody or control of any minor to knowingly permit
or allow such minor to discharge, fire or shoot any
weapon of the kinds herein referred to, within the
city.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immed-
diately upon its passage and posting as
required by law.

Ordinance No. 1127, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER
22 OF 'THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950' ",
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in
three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 16th day of September, 1954, and that said Ordinance
remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of
the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida on this the 3rd day of November, A. D. 1954.
