AN ORDINANCE ATthNDING ARTICLE T OF
CHAPTER 3 OF "THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT`_ OF MIAMI
PEACE, 1:eLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Article I, Chapter 3 of "The Code of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, 1950" be and the
same is hereby amended by adding' thereto, immediately after
Section 3.9 thereof, an additional Section to read as
follows :
"SECTION 3.9.1. It shall be unlawful for any
person to keep, harbor or
maintain any animal or vermin tai ose natural
actions and presence ars or may be deleterious
or harmful to the public health or which may
imperil the public safety; provided, however,
that this Section shall not apply to circuses,
carnivals or similar enterprises which are
engaged in the exhibition of animals. "
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed,
SECTION 3, This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by
law.

1130, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 3
OF 'THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950' ",
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three
conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was
at the door of the City Hall in said City on the 6th day of
October, 1954, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a
period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements
of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 17th day of November, A. D. 1954.
