AN ORDINANCE AT•IENDING ORDINANCE NO.289
OF THE CITY OF MIAi•MI BEACH, FLORIDA,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 'IIA:II `3EACII,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 5-A of Ordinance No. 289 of the City
of Iliani Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 5-A
USE REGULATIONS
"1AA" Business District.
In the "I3AAA" Modified Pusiness District,
no building or land shall be used and no
building shall be hereafter erected, con-
structed, reconstructed or structurally
altered which is designed, arranged, or
intended to be used for any purpose, unless
otherwise provided for in this ordinance,
except for one or more of the following
uses:
1. Any use permitted in the "REE" I•ultiple-
Family District.
2. Banks.
3. Modiste, wearing apparel, furriers.
4. Millinery shops.
5. Office, including brokera-:e houses.
6. Interior decorating, costuming, draperies.
7. Antique shops.
8. Jewelry stores.
9. Furniture stores.
11. Confectionery and ice cream stores.
12. Drug stores.
13. Stationery stores.
14. Shoe stores.
15. Sporting foods stores.
16. Lug;a ge shops.
17. Sales and show rooms.
18. Hotels or Apartment Ilouses with fifty (50)
or _.ore guest rooms, may contain or erect
in conjunction as accessory buildings,
business establishments of the "BAA"
classification.
20. Professional Offices.
or other similar enterprises or businesses which
are not more obnoxious or detrimental to the
welfare of the particular community than the
enterprises or businesses above enumerated,
provided that this shall not be interpreted to
include bars or bar -rooms, or restaurants, ex-
cept in conjunction with Hotels or Apartment
Houses of fifty (50) or more guest rooms."

SECTION 2: That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of i tiami Beach,
Florida, and the maps attached thereto and made a
part tzereof be and the sane are hereby amended
so as to include in the "BAAA" Business District, as said dis-
trict is therein set forth and defined, the following described
parcels of land situate in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida,
to -wit:
All of Block 6 and Lots 1, 2, 3, L.,
7, 8, 9 and 10 of Block 8;
All being in the OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY
of the Miami Beech Improvement Company
according to the emended plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 5, at pages 7
and 8 of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of ==iami Beach,
Florida, and the maps attached thereto and made a
part thereof, be and the same are hereby amended
so as to include in the 'BAA" Business District, as said district
is therein set forth and defined, the following described parcels
of land situate in :'iami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to -wit:
Lot 1 of Block 30 and Lots 1, 2, 3,
18, 19 and 20 of Block 29; All in
FISHER'S FIRST SUBDIVISION of Alton
0- Beach, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 2, at p age 77,
of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida.
SECTION 4: That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and the maps attached thereto and made a
part thereof, be and the same are hereby amended
so as to include in the "BA" Business District, as said district
is therein set forth and defined, the following described parcels
of land situate in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to -wit:
Lots 2 and 3 of Block 30 of
FISHER'S FIRST SUBDIVISION of Alton
Beach, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 2, at page 77,
of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida; and also
All of 'locks "A" and "B";
Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Block "C";
Lots 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8 of Flock "D";
All of Block 2;
All of that portion of lock 3 lying
east of Palm Avenue (now Liberty Avenue) ;
-All of that block lying east of Collins
Avenue and between Ocean Avenue (now
22nd Street) and Atlantic Avenue (now
23rd Street);
All of that block lying north of Atlantic
Avenue (now 23rd Street) and south of Hotel
Place (now 2Lth Street) and east of Collins
Avenue;
Lots 5 and 6 of Block 8;
All of Block 11;
All of that circular tract, having a radius
of fifty (50) feet, lying between Block 8
and Block 11;

Records of Dade County, Florida.

herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Thai; this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting; as required by law.

I, C. W. TOMLINSON, City Clerk in and for the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby certify that Ordinance
No.1019, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 289
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE
'ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA'", having
been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous places
in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the
City Hall in said City on the 8th day of May, A.D. 1952, and that
said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of
the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 2nd day of July, A. D. 1952.
