Ordinance 1156 ORDINANCE NO. 1156 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 .17 OF "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 : That Section 15 .17 of "The Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, 1950" reading as follows : "Sec . 15 .17 . Sales on Election Days . No wholesale or retail vendor shall sell or deliver any liquor to any person on any day of general or primary election, during the hours when the polls are open. " be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Sec . 15 .17 . Sales on Election Days . All places of business within the City where intoxicating beverages are sold at retail shall be closed during any State, County or Muni- cipal general or primary election during the hours the polls are open, and the sale of all alcoholic beverages is prohibited within the City during the hours the polls are open, provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not be deemed to require any vendor licensed under subsection (m) and (n) , Section 15 .8 of this Code, to close his place of business . " SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
