AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
845 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 4.11.02 of Ordinance No. 845 of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"SECTION 4.11.02. By an employee member who becomes such
under the provisions of Section 3.03
of this Ordinance, and who elects to participate in the
service disability reserve fund, one-fourth (1/4) of one
percent (1%) of his gross earnings as a member, by annual
deductions until December 31, 1954, and by quarterly
deductions thereafter, provided, however, that such con-
tributions to the fund and such deductions from earnings
shall cease after nine (9) years of creditable service
from the date of first becoming a participant in the ser-
vice disability reserve fund. "
SECTION 2. That Section 4.11.03 of Ordinance No. 845 of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida be and the 'same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"SECTION 4.11.03. By an employee member who becomes such
under the provisions of Section 3.02
of this Ordinance, one-fourth (1/4) of one percent (1%)
of his gross earnings as a member, by annual deductions
until December 31, 1954, and by quarterly deductions there-
after, provided, however, that such contributions to the
fund and such deductions from earnings shall cease after
nine (9) years of creditable service from the date of first
becoming a participant in the service disability reserve
fund."
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its
passage and posting as required by law.

No. 1159, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 845
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA", hazing been passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City
of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall
in said City on the 16th day of March, 1955, and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days
in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
said City of Miami Beach.
