Ordinance 1230 ORDINANCE NO. 1230 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE N0. 789 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASSI- FICATIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SER- VICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 : That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 789 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows : "SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve payments of Clothing Allow- ance for Detectives, and for other officers of the uniformed force who are regularly detailed to per- form their duties in plain clothes, and who are specifically recommended for such allowance by the Police Chief . Such Clothing Allowance shall not exceed Ten ($10.00) Dollars per month." be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve payments of Clothing Allow- ance for Detectives , and for other officers of the uniformed force who are regularly detailed to per- form their duties in plain clothes, and who are specifically recommended for such allowance by the Police Chief.
