AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, 1950", BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS
THERETO, TO BE NUMBERED SECTION 22.13.2
AND SECTION 22.13.3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 22 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950" be and the same is hereby
amended by adding two new Sections thereto immediately following
Section 22.13.1 thereof, to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 22.13.2. It shall be unlawful for any
person maliciously, wantonly,
or without the knowledge and consent of the owner,
to mar, deface, damage or destroy the exterior,
interior, or wall or appurtenance of any place of
abode office, store, public building, church,
synagogue, school or other building constructed or
used for religious or educational purposes.
"Section 22.13.3. It shall be unlawful for any
person wilfully or maliciously
to affix or attach by any means whatsoever upon
any place of abode, office, store, public building
or way, church or synagogue or other building constructed
or used for religious or educational purposes, or any
place therein, or any wall or appurtenance thereof,
any paint, crayon, chalk, sign, poster or placard with
unlawful intent to damage, deface, or defile such place
of abode, office, store, public building or way, church
or synagogue or other building constructed or used for
religious or educational purposes, or to defame any
person occupying or using the same."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The health and welfare of the City being in peril,
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had
in one session and the City Council finding that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it
shall therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage.

of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby certify that Ordinance No. 1370
entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF "THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950", BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS
THERETO, TO BE NUMBERED SECTION 22.13.2 AND SECTION 22.13.3,
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 20th day of January, 1960,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on
this the 16th day of March, 1960.
