AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 678
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A
SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE
RATES THEREOF" .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 678 of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, reading as follows:
"A. City Engineer Salary per month $880.00
B. City Clerk Salary per month 810.00
C. Shop and Water Superintendent Salary per month 725.00
D. Police Chief Salary per month 833.00
E. Fire Chief Salary per month 700.00
F. Tax Assessor Salary per month 725.00
G. Chief Building Inspector Salary per month 700.00
H. General Recreation Officer Salary per month 625.00
I. Beach Patrol Captain Salary per month 610.00
J. Municipal Judge Salary per month 562.00
Provided, however, that in the event that
it shall be determined by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach that the duties
and responsibilities of the office of
Municipal Judge require the performance
thereof on a full time basis, and to the
exclusion of the privilege to engage in
the private practice of law, then in such
event, the monthly salary of said office
shall be 700.00
K. Associate Municipal Judge Salary per month 320.00
L. Golf Course Man er
(Normandy Isle Salary per month 600.00
Golf Course Manager
(Bayshore) Salary per month 600.00
Provided, however, that if, by direction of
the City Manager, and with the consent of the
City Council, the functions and duties of
both offices shall be performed by the same
administrative officer, then in such event,
the salary per month of such officer shall be 650.00
Assistant Golf Course Manager Salary per month 450.00
M. City Manager Salary per month 1,711.00
N. City Attorney Salary per month 1,O145.00
Together with a monthly allowance to
the City Attorney for secretarial
&ssistance in the sum of 373.00
AND
together with a monthly allowance to
the City Attorney for two assistant
City Attorneys in the sum of 1,450.00

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 16th day of October, 1957
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
