AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
1950", BY ADDING THERETO NEW SECTIONS
NUMBERED 15.19.4, 15.19.5, 15.19.6 and
15.19.7
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 15 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950" be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto new sections numbered 15.19.4, 15.19.5,
15.19 .6 and 15.19.7, and reading as follows:
"SEC. 15.19.4. It shall be unlawful for an owner,
operator or manager of a place
dispensing alcoholic beverages for consumption on the
premises to employ or permit on the premises any person
to solicit drinks for himself or any other person.
SEC. 15.19.5. It shall be 'unlawful for any female to
frequent or loiter in any tavern, cabaret
or night club for the purpose of soliciting men to
purchase drinks .
SEC . 15.19.6. It shall be unlawful for any female
employee of a vendor licensed to sell
alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises to
solicit, induce or entice a male patron of such premises
to purchase any alcoholic beverage to be served to such
female.
SEC. 15.19 .7 . It shall be unlawful for any employee of
a vendor licensed to sell alcoholic
beverages for consumption on the premises to solicit,
induce or entice a male patron of such premises to purchase
any alcoholic beverage to be served to any female employee
of such vendor. "
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The health and welfare of the City being in peril,
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had in
one session and the City Council finding that this ordinance is
necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it shall
therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February A.D. 1958.

having been passed and adopted by 'the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 19th day of February, 1958,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 2nd day of April, A.D. 1958 .
