AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 11, OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
1950", BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED
11 .7 .1, AND REQUIRING CERTAIN PERSONS TO REPORT
TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THE OCCURRENCE OF FIRES,
AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR FAILURE SO TO DO .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That "The Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
1950" be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto immediately following Section 11.7 thereof a new section
numbered 11 .7.1, and providing as follows :
"SECTION 11 .7.1. It shall be the duty of the owner,
lessee, manager, or person in charge
of any building or premises within the corporate limits
of the City to report immediately and forthwith, to the
Chief of the Fire Department, the occurrence of every
fire therein or thereon by which such building or premises
or any property therein or thereon is threatened with
damage or destruction, or has been damaged or destroyed.
Such report shall be in such form as shall be prescribed
by the Chief of the Fire Department and shall set forth
the origin, cause and circumstances of such fire, the
nature and extent of such damage or destruction, and
such other information as may be prescribed. Any person
violating or failing to comply with the provisions of
this Section shall be punished as provided in Section 1 .8
of this Code . "
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March, A.D. 1958.

OF 'THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950", BY ADDING
THERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 11.7.1, AND REQUIRING CERTAIN PERSONS
TO REPORT TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THE OCCURRENCE OF FIRES, AND
PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR FAILURE SO TO DO"
having been passed and adopted by 'the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 5th day of March, 1958,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.

on this the 16th day of April, A.D. 1958
